Restaurant Casa Do Lago

In an endless, peaceful retreat, a relaxing, agreeable space has been completely renovated, a place where the pleasures of life come together in a very focused way.

The restaurant Casa do Lago is located off Roundabout Nº 6 in Quinta do Lago, with views over the Lake and the Ria Formosa. Here you can enjoy one of the best environments that the Algarve has to offer – sun and sky, light and water, and the warm welcome of someone who is there waiting for you. The lines are clean and simple, somewhere between modern and rustic, and the service there invites you to visit and stay awhile.

Wine

With the typical hospitality of a young team, clients are invited to enjoy a drink when they arrive, either at the bar or on the terrace with its outdoor lounge atmosphere. -  or perhaps in an understated, very comfortable room with a panoramic view of the Ria Formosa.  The menu is based on tasty fresh products, prepared to tempt the taste buds of a true gourmet. The extensive list of wines and champagnes features the very best of not only Portugal but also countries such as France, Italy, Argentina, Australia, Spain and the United States. Many of the wines and champagnes are served by the glass as well as by the bottle. 

Menu

The special cuisine brings together the flavours of produce fresh from the land or the sea with exotic concepts of our own creation (everything is produced in-house, even the delicious ice-cream). The result is a varied menu which includes the renowned lobsters of various kinds, some steamed in an aromatic broth. Other “fresh from the sea” features are cockles bathed in fresh herbs, oysters with a CEVICHE of cucumber, wasabi and salmon roe, grilled CARABINEIROS or tiger prawns with a red pepper and garlic sauce, sole in a cherry tomato and tarragon sauce, black grouper (cherne) or CORFINA with white cider butter .

Meat lovers can choose from, among other dishes, curried duck with coconut rice, rack of lambwarm cheee and sauce of oregano and shallots, tornedos of Irish Beef with a glaze of onion, parmesan cheese and mushrooms. These and many other dishes provide a true taste of pure pleasure and sheer sensuality in very special surroundings, especially for those who appreciate fine dining. The finishing touches are the desserts and the wines to accompany the meal, and these take the taste buds to new levels of delight with extraordinary culinary wonders which blend the simplicity of the flavours with wonderful images of low-calorie desserts. Even cheeses are well represented on the menu.
